it was a gorgeous day after weeks of rain. Meg, Naoki and I had a good day on Umi no Hi cooking and eating together. Naoki was very knowledgeable about getting around the kitchen, I was surprised to see how well he kneaded dumplings until I learned he had had practice from making tortillas :-)Meg surprised herself by eating plantain for the first time despite not liking bananas and plantains looking looking like nothing but a big banana to her! All in all, by their own admission they had a good time, and ate full to bursting, resorting to sharing a plate at the end to leave room in their stomachs for dessert.
